The New York State Gaming Commission has adopted eight Controlled Therapeutic Medication standardbred horse racing rules effective April 1, 2015.

Please check the Commission website for the details of these new rules.

These changes include clenbuterol, corticosteroid joint injections joint injections, Banamine among others and thresholds.

All trainers and veterinarians must maintain complete and accurate veterinary records of every coricosteroid injection and report such injections using the Equine Steroid Administration Log (ESAL) at http://gaming.ny.gov/
